Ecovadis

For the second time, we have been evaluated by EcoVadis and received their sustainability ranking.
 
The EcoVadis platform helps us manage global frameworks and regulatory requirements, meet our sustainability goals, and receive guidance on improving sustainability performance and value chains.
Since its founding in 2007, EcoVadis has grown to become the world's largest and most trusted provider of sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 130,000 rated companies.

 Industry Winner 2024

Industry Winner in Sweden, recognize the most outstanding companies based on the previous year's financial results.

An Industry Winner is a company that has surpassed the development of its own industry in both turnover and results while also showing a positive outcome. The average is calculated annually and is based on all limited companies within the relevant industry. The industry division is determined by the companies' SNI code*.

  • *SNI stands for Swedish Industry Classification and is based on the EU standard, NACE Rev.

UC Nordic Growth Company 2023

UC offers quality stamps linked to your credit rating or growth. A seal or certificate shows your customers that you are a reliable, trustworthy company to do business with.
 
The certificate is based on the previous year's financial statements, where growth, profitability, solidity, and number of employees are some of the parameters measured and analyzed. Only 5% of Sweden's companies qualify as growth companies each year. What they have in common is that these companies are stable, successful, and gaining new market shares.
 
 

 

Entrepreneur of the Year

Entrepreneur of the Year is an award given to highlight entrepreneurs who, through their commitment and entrepreneurship, run and develop their businesses in a profitable and sustainable way, contributing to social development.

Achilles

In 2024 Tranemo achieved the Achilles score Silver Plus. The aim is always to receive a higher ESG rating and to improve the rating where possible.

 

The Achilles Sustainability Score provides buyers and their suppliers with a clear view of performance across ESG, health and safety, cybersecurity and financial. The Score enables buying organisations to effectively assess and manage supply chain performance and risk and supplying organisations to showcase and enhance their sustainability credentials.

MEMBERSHIPS AND PROJECTS

No to PFAS - Chemsec

We are a member of the independent non-profit organization ChemSec's "No to PFAS."

ChemSec – the International Chemical Secretariat – is an independent non-profit organization that advocates for the substitution of toxic chemicals with safer alternatives. We do this because these substances represent one of the biggest and most serious threats to our health and environment. And because we know that change is possible.

Member of SIS - The Swedish Institute for Standards

As part of ISO and CEN, SIS manages a network of experts who work to develop international standards.

SIS the Swedish Institute for Standards, is an international organization specializing in both national and international standards. We enable private industry and public-sector stakeholders to initiate and collaborate on best practices that promote Sweden’s competitiveness and encourage smart, sustainable development.

Life Cirtechtex Project

Cirtechtex is an EU-funded project that implements circular economy processes to reduce textile waste in the manufacture of personal protective equipment (PPE).
 
The CIRTECHTEX Project’s ambition is to adopt a circular economy approach to dramatically reduce technical textiles waste generation and upcycle them into high-grade PPE fabrics. The goal of the project is to achieve the recycling of textile waste by using a minimum of 20% recycled pre- and post-consumer material in at least 80% of the PPEs manufactured.
 
 

Member of Amfori

Tranemo decided during 2024 to join Amfori BSCI. Amfori BSCI, short for Amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative. The name, Amfori, is inspired by ‘amphorae’, containers used in ancient times to ship goods around the world. They symbolise the beginning of open global trade, which has brought economic growth, job creation and prosperity.

Amfori is a global business association that promotes sustainable trade, sustainable supply chains and sustainable business. Their belief is that companies simultaneously can focus on people and planet as well as profit and that they might need help to navigate through the complexities that come with increased sustainability expectations.

Sveriges tvätteriförbund

The mission of the Swedish Textile Service Association is to contribute to increased growth in the market through education and information and thereby promote the laundry industry in Sweden.
The Swedish Textile Service Association is the Swedish laundry industry's trade organisation and represents members in both dry cleaning and industrial laundry. The Swedish Textile Service Association is continuously working towards a qualitative and competitive laundry industry. All our members are authorised with our T-mark. This means that they fulfil the criteria required to guarantee a quality business with good service and strong social responsibility.

OEKO-TEX® is an independent third-party certification process that ensures control of harmful or hazardous chemicals.

 

By using Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®, we increase product safety and reduce the risk of using harmful chemicals in our OEKO-TEX® 100 certified garments.

To fulfill our producer responsibility regarding packaging in Germany, Tranemo has chosen to become a member of Interseroh.
 
The Interseroh system offers a complete cycle for recycling product packaging and contributes to a sustainable circular economy.

AEO - Authorized Economic Operator

AEO stands for "Authorized Economic Operator" and is an EU-wide certification.

 

The aim of AEO status is to enhance security globally and ensure efficient, uniform customs management across the EU. Once granted, AEO status is valid in all EU member states.

Producer Responsibility (Näringslivets Producentansvar)

The main purpose of producer responsibility is to reduce littering and the amount of waste.
 
It also aims to ensure that any waste generated is recycled and used to create new products.
